Flight of Passage - like no other!

It seems there no stopping the success of the amazing ride that is 'Flight of Passage' in Pandora - The World of Avatar that is part of Disney's animal kingdom.  If anything, its appeal has increased with time rather than reduced.  For those of us who were privileged enough to have fast passes for the ride, we can only say 'Eywa  ngahu' to those are having to queue for hours to experience the ride, some up to 6 hours!!!

The amazing experience is the result of some outstandingly talented people whom were recently recognized  at the 16th annual VES (Visual Effects Society) awards held in LA.

The results are in!

Irayo nìtxan to everyone who took part in the two surveys for the AvatarMeet events in 2018.  There have been some interesting results, with each survey having a similar number of responses.  Below are the overviews, followed by a more in depth look at the results.

Results overview:
AvatarMeet - Europe
The chosen location, by just one vote is Cologne.  Most people said they would still attend even if it was not in the first choice location.  There was a close preference between 4 days and 6 days for the duration of the meet up with potential attendees willing to spend a little more, depending on the programme of events. Staying in a hotel is the preferred accommodation.

AvatarMeet - North America
The chosen location, by two votes is Vancouver.  Most people said they were undecided on attending if it was not in the first choice location.  There was a preference for the meet up to be 3 days, with 4 days coming second.  Most attendees didn't want the cost to exceed $100 per day, with an equal amount saying it depended on the programme of events.  There was a strong preference for hotel accommodation, but also for a pre-meet camping activity.

Next Steps.
There are two planning teams; one for each meet up.  Obviously the North American meet up is fast approaching for this summer, with the meet up in Germany occurring in the fall, when Cirque du Soleil will be visiting Cologne.  Now the hard work begins in planning to make them the best they can be.  In the meantime, if you have any questions or queries, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
